Intro to Ayurveda Online Course

Welcome to the Intro to Ayurveda course guided by Samantha Cushing. In this course, we will dive into the world of Ayurveda and activate a deep wisdom that resides in each one of us. This wisdom is the wisdom of our bodies, the wisdom of our soul that craves well-being and love. Ayurveda literally means “the knowledge of life”. Ayurveda is a science that brings us into our bodies and guides us back to love, guides us back to life. The path to health and healing is not about escaping and transcending our bodies. It is about inhabiting the body fully and deeply.

Ayurveda is a science that teaches us to take care of ourselves based on the principles of life- the 5 natural elements that make up all of nature and all of our bodies. Each of us is completely unique and we need to understand our intricacies in order to have optimum health. This course in Ayurveda is for the person ready to understand nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle in a completely new lens.

We are fed a lot of information on what it means to be “healthy”. “Salads are good for you”, “carbs are bad for you”, “smoothies are healthy”. But what if we had the curiosity to look past what we have heard and look back to what our ancestors had to say. Our ancestors were not only durable, fertile, disease-free human beings, but they had a mental and spiritual strength and spirit that we should aspire to in our modern time. This was not because they had yearly check-ups, a regiment of supplements, and a treadmill (not that any of those things are wrong!). It was because they had an innate connection to the land and its movements, to each other, and to their sense of connection to it all. Ayurveda is the means by which we will learn to move back to this connection. By the time this course ends, you will feel confident to:
