Welcome to Raíces! We are natural medicine practitioners based in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Our mission at Raíces is to honor, protect, and share this timeless wisdom and healing medicine within our communities to help alleviate suffering and promote physical, mental, and spiritual harmony.

We invite you to check out our offerings, free resources or sign up for our newsletter. We also have a natural apothecary (see below!) and a farm where we source local & organic dairy products and support the local community located in Costa Rica. We welcome you to visit if you find yourself in the area.

Founders

Samantha cushing

Samantha is a medicine woman, musician, mother, and Ayurvedic health counselor. She walks the path of the Amazonian ancestral medicines under the indigenous tribes in the Colombian Amazon. She is also a devoted student of Ayurveda & Yoga and offers online classes to those looking to open their spiritual path and walk in right relationship with their bodies and minds.

luis fernando guadamuz

Luis is a Costa Rican medicine man. He began his spiritual path in 2010 offering crystal bowl sound healings and guided meditations. In 2018, he started his path with the Amazonian lineage. He is dedicated to sharing the ancestral tradition of the Amazonian plants with all of humanity and is happy to help anyone who feels called to this form of healing. He is a proud father of three kids and dedicates himself to his familial land by planting and caring for native crops, plants, and trees.
